Winter Gathering - Buxton 2025

The 2025 Brigantes Winter Gathering will take place on Friday 12 December in the beautiful town of Buxton – in the iconic Pavilion Gardens and attached Opera House for our AGM, Lecture, Reception and Supper, followed by our annual Christmas Concert of Festive Music.  

The Brigantes Winter Gathering is open to all Liverymen of the City of London, accompanied by one guest each if desired.

The Brigantes AGM will commence at 2.30pm in the Octagon Room in the Pavilion Gardens, attached to the Opera House. This will be followed by a lecture given by Mike Higginbotham on 'Taking the Waters, the history of Spas and Hydros'. 

The Drinks Reception, also in the Pavilion Gardens is from 4.45pm, followed by an early evening supper at 5.30pm. The Concert in attached Opera House will start at 7.30pm. 

Dress is lounge suits and Badges of Office may be worn.

If you would like to stay overnight on the Friday, we have reserved rooms at a couple of hotels, details on the attached information sheet.

We expect the Concert will conclude at about 9.30 pm, following which Brigantians and guests will be most welcome at the Crescent Spa Hotel for a convivial nightcap or three. We very much look forward to seeing you there.

The cost is £102.00 per person and places will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
